CRAZED KNIFEMAN WAS UNDER MY BED
THE last series of BBC crime drama Luther left fans scared to look under the bed after a terrifying scene when an intruder crawled out as a woman went to sleep.
But for Robyn Little, that scary scenario was a reality when a knifeman jumped out from beneath her bed to attack her.
Call centre worker Robyn, 19, had been enjoying a night at a party with partner Dale Walker, 19. But as she was having fun, she couldn't help noticing an odd guy in the corner.
Robyn, from Gateshead, Tyne And Wear, explains: "There was one guy who looked really dodgy. I asked his name and was told he was called Steve Shaw.
"At around midnight he got into an argument and was asked to leave. He got really aggressive. He was totally over the top. "But what nobody knew is that he managed to sneak back into the house and go upstairs."
At 1.30am Robyn asked party host Vicky Harrison, 42, if she and Dale could stay over in the spare room.
"Dale fell straight to sleep, but I couldn't," says Robyn.
"I know it is the kind of thing little children worry about, but I felt like there was someone in the room.
"I nudged Dale and said: 'I think there is someone under the bed.' Towel "He went over and turned the light on. Suddenly I felt the bed move and someone jumped out from under me.
"I let out a scream as he rolled out from under the bed."
The intruder had large kitchen knives taped to his gloved hands and a towel around his lower face.
"I could tell it was Shaw," says Robyn. "He lashed out, as if he was doing the front crawl in the swimming pool. He stabbed Dale in the neck and side and sliced through his hand, nearly cutting his fingers off.
"The lunatic was trying to chop his head off."
Robyn was also stabbed in the shoulder, leaving a 3cm wound, while Shaw headed into Vicky's room and stabbed her in the chest, causing her to have a heart attack.
Robyn adds: "At hospital Dale needed a blood transfusion, he lost five pints of blood. It took an hour-and-a-half to stitch up my wound."
Shaw, 34, was last month convicted of the attempted murders of Robyn, Dale and Vicky and jailed for 14 years.
